We are located just 3 miles from Lyme Regis,
Dorset, (in the countryside), famous for its Cobb Harbour and
the literary connections with Jane Austen, Beatrix Potter and
local author John Fowles.
For walkers, the hotel is an ideal base from which to explore
the magnificent sea and countryside views, fossils and wildlife
of the Dorset coast. Golden Cap, is the highest point on the
south west coast, is just a few miles away.
To find us, simply follow the signs from the centre of Rousdon
village. There is plenty of easy parking in the hotel grounds. |
Garden lovers will not be disappointed. Great
country houses and wonderful gardens in the area include Forde
Abbey, Mapperton and the tropical gardens at Abbotsbury. For the
keen gardener there are numerous specialists nurseries stocking
rare and unusual plants.
For shoppers there is Lyme Regis, stylish Sidmouth and the
market town of Honiton renowned for its lace making and numerous
antique shops, thirty six at the last count!
